Below is a summary of our beliefs.

We affirm the Southern Baptist confession of faith, The Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

The Scriptures

The Bible is God’s inspired and inerrant word about himself, humanity’s sinfulness and need for salvation in Jesus Christ. It is the final authority in all matters of Christian faith and living.

God

There is one living and true God, eternally existing in three equal yet distinct persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the sovereign creator and sustainer, he works all things for his glory and purposes. God loves all of his creation and wants what is best for it.

Man

God made man in his own image, male and female, to live in relationship with him. Man yielded to temptation and sinned, thereby separating himself from God and plunging the human race into condemnation. Only God can save humankind and restore man's fellowship with God.

Salvation

God is the author of salvation; therefore, man's salvation is by grace alone, through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Jesus Christ came into the world, he was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and offered himself up to be crucified as the substitute for sinners. He rose from the dead and appeared bodily to his disciples. He ascended to the Father’s right hand and is now the Mediator between God and man. He will return to complete God's eternal plan.

The Holy Spirit calls and enables sinners to faith in Jesus Christ. He indwells every Christ-follower, empowering and equipping them for love and service as they await future glory.

God preserves all true believers; they will persevere to the end.

The Church

The church represents Christ in the world and is entrusted with the good news of God’s salvation. The church fulfills God's purposes through discipleship, evangelism, and missions.

The Christian Life

Christians are obligated to pray and labor to make Christ supreme in their own lives, in their families, and in society. The Christian life aims to glorify God, as disciples of Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit, within the community of a local church.

Last Things

At the end of the age, Jesus will return to the earth in personal and visible glory, to judge all humanity. The righteous will rise to dwell forever with him, and the unrighteous will be condemned to God’s wrath in Hell.
